Just changed the oil. Made the noise before and after - off and on.
Also, bought the car from a SAAB mechanic a couple of months ago. It
was his personal car, and he had replaced the timing and balance
chains, crankshaft bearing, etc. and no doubt checked wear on other
engine parts.
