Any clues? No similar experiences, I'm afraid (I have always had 8V 900s), but I would check the wiring first. My gut instinct is that the ECU is unlikely to be the fault - some short on the wiring is a lot more likely. If the car was mine (and I've been there with my car, in a manner of speaking), I would swing by a good auto-electrician and have them test the circuits.
