Subject: EGR Valve 2005 9-3 SS TID faulty again?

Got my 9-3 SS 1.9 TID MY 2005 in January 2005, was stopped after little more than a week, with a check-engine light on, and limp-home mode activated. Went to the dealership's, where they replaced the EGR Valve. They had to have it shipped in from Norway, so repair took more than a week. Later, and some 70000kms more, again, the check engine light, and a 'hesitating' engine at especially constant rpms, and more noticeable in lower gears. Driving in 3rd gear, at around 2000rpms, engine feels like it's not running on all cylinders. Can even see the rpm-needle go up and down. Again to my dealership, again they replaced the EGR valve. And now, almost 90k kms, again the choppy engine behaviour. No engine light yet, but I fear it's around the corner. Does anyone know this to be a faulty part in the 9-3 SS? Could some other part cause the failing of the EGR valve (so that it's rather a symptom than a cause)? Thanks for your thoughts, Cheers, André --------------= Posted using GrabIt =---------------- ------= Binary Usenet downloading made easy =--------- -= Get GrabIt for free from http://www.shemes.com/ =-
