And the C30 "hatch" is little more than a pitifully undersized station wagon (estate) door. No thanks. I want a big massive hatch like I had on my 900's and my 9000, not that dinky little C30 door. Those 1980's-vintage Saabs had the cargo capacity of a small truck and nearly the handling of a sports car -- a fantastic combination. I used to carry everything from couches to lumber to 500lbs of gravel in my 900T hatchbacks. They were fabulously versatile, useful, and fun cars. Saab quit making hatches so I got a 9-5 Aero wagon. It has a smidgeon more space than an equivalent hatch would have, but the extra space is not generally usable. And in my opinion a sagon/estate looks dull and clunky compared to a well-executed hatchback. Give me a good hatchback any day. But it's a moot point anyway. I've driven Saabs exclusively for over 20 years -- but with the GMization of Saab, I doubt I'll ever buy a new Saab again. The Saabs that I loved are getting to be 20+ years old, and I'd prefer a newer car. Saab are forcing me to choose another brand.
