It's a question of style, but the substance of a GMPP Major Guard is slightly better. The CPO is treated by a Saab dealer as a factory warranty for claims administration with a few more exclusions like the audio/OnStar stuff. The GMPP Major Guard, has to be the Major Guard "exclusionary" warranty, does not exclude the audio equipment. I betcha' Saab doesn't lower the rate for a 9-2X, but the GMPP rate for a Suby/Saab is probably better. Also Saab CPO requires it's own 3 hour ($300) inspection and reporting, not required by GMPP and mostly done anyway by decent dealers. The GMPP is administered by GM and the GMPP rep in San Diego who gets the GM employee discount drove a 9-5.

Both excellent warranties. The CPO is a fixed term 6yrs 100k, with the GMPP the terms can be flexible. Even a Subaru dealer could get a claim paid with GMPP where as a Saab CPO is only good at a Saab dealer.

Whata' great choice for a teen driver, well maybe not the Aero.....but a Linear would be stylish, practical, economical, bullet proof and very highly rated for safety.
