Thanks for your response. Today I went to the SAAB dealer and picked up extra washers. They appear to be aluminum and are two pieces designed to be compressed. This was the design of the one taken off.Surprisingly they are not copper. I'll be on the look out for copper ones. Yes, We'll go with only one washer.

I was looking for the drain plug since the original one has a rounded head from dealer oil changes.

FYI. The part numbers listed in my posting turn out to be for the manual transmission drain plug and associated copper washers.

I really appreciate the Subie link. Searching for parts may get interesting
for the AERO since some parts are WRX and some STI.

I picked up the short throw shifter and will be installing it shortly after I dig thru the WIS to figure out how to take it apart. This will be the only mod planned.

Great little go cart once you get used to high RPM power band. Really fun to drive!
