The mechanic says that the engine has seized, and that he thinks the timing belt went (only 40,000 miles on the car). He's going to open it up and dig a little bit more, but what are my options? How likely do you think this is? Even though it is out of warranty, this seems like a pretty unusual event. Could I get Saab to cover some of the repair?
