I had the same SID error message a few months ago. I could not find a "P21W" bulb but found what I thought to be a suitable replacement at local parts store. I replaced the bulb and it functioned properly thus no more error...until a few weeks later.
The bulb appeared to be lit but error message was still coming up on SID, usually at startup. I called an import parts wholesaler and was advised that the bulb I used to replace the "P21W" put out the same number of volts but pulled the wrong number of amps.
This suggested that the computer thought the bulb was out even though it was burning.
I bought a pack with two bulbs at large department store for $2.47....GE P21W and the problem has not occurred since. (Dealer wanted $11.50 for one bulb)
