I have read several posts on various Saab forums about this. It apparently is a cheaply made part and its failure is not uncommon.
I believe the p/n for the lumbar support mechanism is 12796264. That's the complete lumbar support for a 2003 thru 2006, 4D or Combi taken from the EPC. It does not appear that individual parts to this assembly are sold. I did a quick google search and did not find this part anywhere except the mr & mrs G site, where they mention you can add this feature if your car did not come equipped with it, or even add one to the passenger seat. (No thanks, looking forward to having replace one of them is enough). They show an approx. price of $76, but I'm thinking this was a few years ago. The seat will have to come apart and doing this is within the realm of a competent DIY. I would guess that a shop is going to charge about 2hrs. of labor.
