Amp1 is the most common failure point for the 0-bus audio system. The amp is located under the drivers seat and tends to get a lot of moisture and debris in it.
I hope they just aren't guessing on the amp. To really verify, you have to jumper the o-bus at the amp or swap the amp with a known good amp.
We had a car in the shop yesterday with no warning sounds (door chime, turn signal click, etc...) and the radio did not work (no sound or display on SID). We jumpered the amp and it still did not work. The diagnostic steps have you swap control units on the o-bus until the radio starts working again. After swaping several control units with good control units (from a used car we had on the lot) It ended up being a faulty EHU (Electronic Head Unit) this is the actual radio (its located behind the CD player so you don't see it)
