Check what MC said about the vacuum pump. My cars dont have that, maybe it's auto-trans only? Or just certain years?? Certainly a master cylinder can leak alongide the piston shaft & get brake fluid into the vacuum booster. Check to rule that out; but you'll see your brake fluid inventory dropping. A master-cylinder failure like I was describing, it leaks back into it's own reservoir. Doesn't leak into the vacuum lines at all. It would be easier to decide if test-driving it firsthand.
