I have a 2009 9-3 sports sedan and used to have a 2003. I've noticed the past two times when I've had the car into the dealer for main and intermediate service appointments that the time to service indicator has been set to 80% and 53% respectively. Because I know that this dealer suggests oil changes ever 5000 miles, even with the fully synthetic oil, and I choose to have it done less frequently than that, I do tend to rely on the service indicator as a general guide. I asked this time before leaving the lot and was told that they aren't able to set it to 100%, that it's pre-set to these numbers. Since this is different from my previous ('03) 9-3, was wondering if anyone knows anything about this?
