I have a '04 9-3 Aero. Front suspension springs can break for cars in the rust belt. The cam tensioner guides on mine disintegrated and wound up in the oil pan, though it did not cause a catastrophic failure. Stereo is integrated with the electronics of the car so upgrade is basically impossible. It also is prone to blown amps. Suspension on my Aero is VERY harsh, which makes it stick beautifully in the twisties but it's hard on the car and the interior is not BMW quality so don't be surprised by squeaks and rattles (although I imagine this is not as much of an issue on the ARC). Power steering is way overboosted so don't expect great road feel. Brakes work beautifully but modulation stinks. In general, you won't see a lot of these cars onthe side of the road. They are quite reliable in that respect and last a very long tie if properly cared for. You will get niggling problems so expect that. These aren't Hondas.
