It's becoming pretty sad with battery life and quality for the Saab's. Volvo seems to hold up much better after they moved the battery to the trunk.
2 years to the month since I put the last one in which also died with no forewarning whatsoever.
She drives an hour commute one way every day so it is not like it's undercharged as in my car with 2 miles one way.
The other day I parked it in the garage after a drive to the beach, the next morning, go to start it and only click click click.
Get in my car to pick up a new one from the shop and the tester and it shows 10.5 V, 230 CCA (out of 700) and Dead Cell displayed. This time it is at least barely cranking over and starting but it shows 8.5 V cranking voltage.
A new battery installed and all is good.
I'm glad Interstate have a fairly good warranty but still, it could be customers getting angry if it happens on the road and the hassle it brings having to find a new battery.
You feel helpless when it is something completely out of your control.
