Deformed seal due to Deformed Brain Posted by SaabAficionado [Email] (#758) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SaabAficionado) on Wed, 13 Aug 2014 12:50:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
2004 9-3 Aero Fuel Pump Replacement: I have screwed myself again by trying to go too fast and throwing "methodical" out the window. Others have done it successfully I have heard, but not me. I used a hammer and screwdriver to loosen the fuel pump from the tank and the same procedure to re-install...scrunching the seal in the process. Now "all of a sudden" I have a 442 error (small emissions leak) Doi!
QUESTION: Can I drop the tank, separate the pump housing from the tank, remove old seal and replace with a new one without disconnecting any other pipes? I can't remember if I have to disconnect that hose that goes into the tank before I can get the seal on properly.
