My friend's 9-3 electrical nightmare

I persuaded my friend to switch from the BMW side to the Saab brand. She purchased a really nice looking 2007 black/black 9-3 2.0T manual trans. She loved it until things started happening. Here are the problems she is having with the car.
1)Remote lock/unlock does not work (has to manually enter the car with key and alarm goes off each time she does this)
2) Getting key not recognized message (has to cycle ignition several times to get car to start). Lately while driving she has been getting some sort of message relating to the steering system which urges her to pull the car over.
3) Sunroof button needs to be pressed several times until glass panel inches open enough to start full travel. Same thing with closing procedure.
I'm hoping this is just a measure of plugging it in with techII which only requires recalibration. She wants to unload the car because of it. She has a small child and doesn't want to deal with stress. Any insight is greatly appreciated?
