Once again your guess was exactly right!. I came out of a raised driveway after my install this weekend and I guessed the ABS plug on the hub came unplugged. WOW! I got 3 different messages and finally is settled on The ABS system has failed. -
Got home to have a look at everything. Sure enough the wire had come unplugged. I looked at the rotor shield and damn if it wasn't touching just barely. I pressed/bent it back all around. I put the wheel back on and took her for a spin. No messages, quiet ride and NO squeal or unwanted sounds at all. Thanks for suggestions on this.
PS After looking at the plug, it looks like it was just barely hanging onto the car with cable ties. It was pulled too tight and this caused the wire to come unplugged when stressed. I fixed and all seems OK. If anyone can post a picture of the ABS connector and brake line and show how they are connected to the car I would appreciate seeing how a factory setup looks. Meanwhile mine should work fine, be stable and keep things from rubbing.
