When I run the fan for heat or AC it sounds like Crickets are chirping away. Noise does not increase in speed or volume when the fan is increased or decreased and is most notable when unit is on auto. When running fan full blast I can’t hear the chirping over the fan noise. It is really distracting while driving and quite annoying. Could it be a Preventive Maintenance issue like the fan motor shaft needing lubrication or is it the beginning of the end for the blower unit. This has been occurring on and off for the past 12- 18 months but now occurs all the time.
