Stumbling, stalling and stuck in Park V6? Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Mon, 15 Dec 2014 09:39:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Perplexed by this. My parents picked up a sweet '08 Aero V6 with about 120k miles back in the summer. They immediately had all 6 coils and plugs replaced by my Saab dealer as part of the purchase deal.
Since then, they've had a few issues with the engine stumbling/misfiring. One one occasion, the car started up and misfired for about 30 miles of driving before it was restarted, seemingly solving the problem. Over the weekend, the car started up all stumbly again, and this time stalled after a few seconds. It restarted fine. Later that evening, the shifter (auto) was stuck in the Park position, foot was on the brake as it needs to be. After a restart, it moved just fine.
There are no idiot lights illuminated. I'm much more familiar with my 4cyl '04 Aero engine, don't know too much about the V6 yet. Any ideas?
Thanks!
