As JustinHiFi said... You're kinda screwed.
You can not add a NEW replacement key to the car without an {already programmed/working} existing one.
The immobilizer (anti-theft security) system prevents the vehicle's computer from allowing the engine to run without an authorization message from a valid key.
Best you can do if shift it into neutral using the manual shift-lock release. Yellow tab inside the center console.
But, your're kinda screwed there too, cause the steering column lock prevents you from turning the steering wheel.
You'll still need a Tech2 scan tool to command the NEW replacement key to release the ignition switch so that you can release the steering column lock.
Call a SAAB repair specialist...or *cringe* your local SAAB-dealer service-center. And have them dispatch a tow for the vehicle.
Your probably going to be looking at about ~$1200.00 worth new parts and labor.
NEW CIM.
NEW KEYS. get at least 2 new ones!
And programming the stuff to the vehicle.
sorry, Jay.
Don't ever loose the keys for a late model car.
The Process is very similar for most all European cars built from 1999 and up.
