To replace the stalk switch (lever and cruise control-switch portion) you just yank it out of the CIM.
If you're having issues with internal portion of the switch....
This can be tricky business. Need to remove the CIM and take it apart.
I keep a few used CIMs around at the shop too.
Came in handy a couple times when folks were having Wiper-Switch issues and had little money (to replace CIM with NEW is the ultimate fix $$$$).
One thing I have run into with the wiper-switch, was that there are a couple different variations in the housing for the switch-contacts.
...hard to explain. But if you have even dissected them and transferred the little pieces around you would know what I mean.
