26mpg highway isn't terrible at all. What speeds and load/weight are you running? How many miles are on the vehicle? Time for spark plugs? There is zero possibility they used a 2.8 ME9 ECM in your T8 b207 9-3, not even remotely the same ECU physically. If im trying and really nice on my 2006 2.0 9-3 sedan, CC at 68mpg, no AC I can manage 33mpg. Typically with normal AC use, 80-85mpg its 25-28mpg. Ive found using 93oct fuel adds an easy 3mpg and pays for the additional cost of using 93 vs 87.
