Thanks for the replies, I took her to the dealer yesterday (I thought autonomous stopping was serious enough to warrant a quick trip to get fixed, lest I cause an accident and hurt someone else on the interstate) and he ran the tech 2. I cannot remember the exact error code but it was a 'u' and maybe had the number 15 in it. Anyhow, the problem is the traction control module bus is not communicating with the ecm. Apparently that can be anything from a bad module to a bad wire. My mechanic, who I think is awesome and is always straight forward and honest indicated it could be a pain to find but said they would start by changing some 'pins' in the traction control module and maybe that would work. He said he has seen this same type of issue with the V6 model but not many like mine. Then again, they don't work on too many 300k plus cars so I feel like I'm blazing a trail to car knowledge. I'll gladly keep you posted on this issue.
Kind regards,
BenR
