2010 9-3 XWD speedometer pegged after battery died Posted by Nathan [Email] (#2249) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nathan) on Thu, 27 Aug 2015 01:11:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Original battery (5 years old) went downhill with no warning; car started fine and then half an hour later, nothing but clicks when key turned to start. Radio refused to activate and most problematic, speedometer somehow got pegged to the right and remains stuck. Replaced battery, everything working fine now except speedometer hasn't budged. It clicks and slightly moves when car is in motion.
No ABS or other lights involved, so I'm not currently suspecting that known failure issue. How could weak battery have caused this weird behavior and what should I try to get it unstuck?
