Time for a new belt Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 27 Sep 2015 05:38:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I backed my wife's '06 9-3 SC out of the garage yesterday while she was standing close by. She told me there was a sound from the engine compartment after the car started, chirping or squeaking.
After 9+ years and 72K miles I guess it is time for a new belt and tensioner with pulley. This car has required so little of my time on maintenance that I was surprised to learn when ordering parts that there is no idler pulley!
I sprung for a new set of Platinums too. I remember how worn the tips were on the original set when I replaced them somewhere between 35k and 40K miles.
October 1st is coming this week, time for pre-winter maintenance on the daily drivers.
