Spark Plug Question

2007 SAAB 9-3 2.0T Auto 106K miles
I think I've been advised incorectly, so I'm seeking advice on my spark plugs. I was told to replace the plugs in my vehicle that I recently purchased as a matter of course.
Everything I read says NGK Platinum PFR6T-10G. My dealer says they use the NGK copper BCPR6ES-11 plugs.
So I've installed the coppers, gapped at 0.040"
Car now starts very hard: typically 2-3-4 tries when cold, but then finally catches and runs fine. Never had a SAAB do this.
So did I get bad advice?
Should I swap out and install the NGK platinums?
Thoughts? Ideas?
Thanks in advance.
