Hello,
Is your car a manual or automatic? Is the noise/vibration worse at about 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm?
I would guess that if your car is not now overheating that the tensioner for the balance shafts failed. The back of the tensioner is just peened in and can come out. This has allowed the balance shaft to get out of timing. At the least you just need to remove the front timing cover retime the balance shaft chain and replace the tensioner. Good Luck, Bernie
