Security system weirdness

I have a 2009 9-3 Aero V6 XWD in which the security system is acting as though it is possessed. Symptoms are failure to respond to remote opening using the fob, random alarms, failure to allow starting of the car, etc. Both the car battery and the fob battery have been replaced within the last month. My indy has indicated that this behavior is nearly always caused by battery failure in the horn/security module and I have schedule battery replacement next week. Is this a DIY job? If so, where is this module located on this car?
Thanks in advance,
Ed
