Basically true. The '10 and '11 9-3X was a raised model with AWD **and I thought** 6 speed A/T and 2.0T in the USA. The 6 speed all but negated the economy hit from AWD. The added ride height was exploited to use softer springs, and the model was the best riding of all the NG 9-3s, IMO, without affecting the handling relative to the standard suspension. 225-50-17 tires were the only choice. I used one as a loaner and liked it. Price was kind of rich; a loaded up FWD Aero SC was in the same ball park as a base 9-3X, as I remember (in 2010 and 2011, when Aeros were 4 cyl.
