I have noticed that in other cars (non-Saabs - haven't owned many automatic Saabs!), but the thing that has me on this 9-3 is it seems both a little more severe and a little more random than I've otherwise experienced. I drive it far less frequently than the lady does (like, 100:1 miles) but it also seems to happen to me more often than her... Which is actually consistent with my experiences in other automatics - I probably confuse automatic transmissions more than most drivers as my habits are decidedly manual-oriented. ;)

My pump and sensor should be here on Saturday - I'll do at least the sensor, if the weather's nice I'll do the pump too. Then, see how it does.

I will definitely outsource the transmission fluid as I don't have a good way to get it in the air and level at the same time. ;) In fact, if I can swing it, maybe I'll bring it to you the last week of March. The car will be in Rancho Cucamonga for sure - it's just a matter of whether I'm with it or not! :)
