Lately I have ran into more problems than I care for with people coming in with used T8 ECM. Mostly 03-06 ones.
I ask all of them if it is from an identical car and all say YES without really knowing what I actually ask them. But the guy on E-bay promised it was from a so and so car.
Sometimes I can read the old VIN when I hook them up and get it black on white what car it came from.
Especially it seems to be a problem if the ECM comes from an R engine and you put in in an L engine or vice verse.
The short term fuel trim goes to full 25% right at start and then after the test drive the long term fuel trim has compensated full on to -25% or the other way around and it eventually will trigger a fault code.
I guess 07 and up don't have that problem since they are all R engines.
