My mint 2008 Vert
Had a little mishap this afternoon. There was road debris ( a big tie down strap from a truck) on the interstate across the entire middle lane. I couldn't avoid it. Any way I looked underneath the car and noticed the heat shield around the gas tank was damaged and there is a small gouge in the tank. Probably caused by the sharp edge of the shield. I can't tell how deep it is but it seems deep. Is it just plastic? I'm wondering if I should replace it. It is not leaking at all. I do want to replace the heat shield around the tank and I'm wondering if that is hard to replace.
