If you have kit 93280001 then you have all of the needed seals to take care of any leaks on the front of the motor. Check the diagram associated with the kit on the esaabparts website for locations for each of the seals.
In my experience with this motor, losing a small amount of coolant over a period of time can be associated with either the water pump, the return hoses at the recovery bottle or the thermostat housing - assuming that you don't have coolant on the garage floor (assumption is that you park in the same location daily) that can be followed up to a corresponding drip on the car that will lead you to the source of the leak. The radiator would most likely leak from the seals on the side tanks and would lose more coolant in that amount of time so this is likely not going to be the source but don't rule it out until you verify visually.
If you have no visible sign of coolant in the easy to see locations, my guess is that the thermostat is leaking from the gasket where it mates to the back of the motor (my B284/LP9 was loosing a small amount of coolant from that gasket). To visually verify this you'll need to remove the battery, battery box, upper and lower heat shields (from the turbo). It sounds like your trouble shooting is spot on, so if you do find a leak at the thermostat, PM me if you want some details.
