I don't think it can inhale a quart of oil in just starting it a few times for a few seconds.
If the old turbo was shot and you could see raw oil around the exhaust impeller, there will be lots of oil in the exhaust system and it will take a long time to burn that off including some brisk driving laying down a smoke screen.
I don't think the PCV valve hiding inside the intake manifold can pass that much oil and I have seen very few problems with that valve.
