I just picked up a 2007 9-3 convertible this weekend, 77k miles. Overall, it's in good shape, but with the top up, the SID displays "Complete Soft Top Operation Before Driving" message. It occurs randomly every few minutes (anywhere from every 1 minute to 20 minutes). The top works fine, and looks like it's completely up. I've cycled the top and gave a quick look for loose connections/bad sensors. It doesn't seem to be related to speed or bumps, although I don't think it occurred when I was at a standstill.

When lowering the top, sometimes it doesn't quite fold all the way down, so the tonneau doesn't quite close, but a quick partial cycle fixes it. I haven't had the SID error message with the top down.

On a different note, there's some creaking at low speeds when turning, or when the car jerks back a bit when coming to a complete stop, but not very often over bumps. Would this be shocks or bushings?

Also on a different note, I'm not sure, but I think a couple of times when I turned off the ACC from auto (by turning the fan speed knob down to "off"), a few minutes later, it turned back on to auto, all by itself. I think this happened twice, so I wasn't paying too much attention to it.
