I don't argue that I could use a better tech, but he had a T30 bit, and let me try twisting the screwdriver with bit, it's stuck pretty good. His work instructions said don't mess with it if you couldn't get it with screwdriver with the T30 bit so he showed me and recommended that he not risk it and didn't want to change the oil.
He had a picture on his personal phone that he showed me of a cracked valve cover from a friend's car, it was the same cover (don't know make/model/year of the car, but same top end), so just exercising caution. I also wasn't sure if these were just to hold the cover, or if they were through bolts holding the cover to the block, I haven't looked closely at this newer engine. Losing the cover isn't a big deal to me, so snapping a bolt head is less of an issue if it isn't holding the cover on...
