The throttle body is the part mounted on the engine that holds the throttle butterfly. In the old days, when you pressed on the gas pedal, you didn't adjust the gas. The pedal was connected by a cable to a butterfly valve that allowed air in (throttle). The engine measures the airflow, and schedules fuel. Nowdays the throttle plate is controlled by an electric motor.
Look for the fat air hose going to the engine. About the first place it hits that is metal is the throttle body.
