I guess I hit on a good topic. I am not talking about switching to all season tires. However, my research indicates that there are several brands out there, like Toyo, Kumo, Bridgestone, that offer same size tires with same speed ratings that are less costly then the HXMs. Even the Dunlop Sp 9000 which I have seen people on this site tout are less expensive. So, what's so special about the Michelins. Also, I was told by some salesman that the HXMs are no longer in production and that the Pilot Primacy is a newer (and better?) tire. I note though on the Michelin website, the Primacy had a lower tread life rating and less wet weather grip although the salesman who told me about these told me the opposite. I guess you can get overwhelmed with all the info and choices, but the easiest route is to stick with the HXMs (just need to be able to afford it).
