Ref: 2003 9-5 AERO Sedan 41,000 miles

I installed the SAAB Akebono pads on the front and the Akebono Euro pads on the rear with four new rotors at 30,000 mainly to eliminate the brake dust deposits. That goal was reached.

Whenever I take the car on the highway and try to stop at speed I feel like I've lost 25% of the original OEM pad braking power. The fluid was flushed and bled twice thinking that would help which it didn't.

My wife is the main driver of this car and it is driven mainly around town. She loves the clean wheels. I keep asking her is she noticed anything different about the brakes. Well today she took the car on the highway and had to stop short from speed. She came home and immediately asked me what's wrong with the brakes. I inspected everything and found nothing unusual.

I really suspect the Akebono pads and just ordered Hawk HPS pads from TireRack to replace the Akebonos. I'll let you know the outcome.
