2001 9-5 Aero sedan. Recently got a "front light failure" message on startup - and the lamp is indeed inop. I'll swap in a new bulb shortly, and see if it's just the lamp or the orange relay failure.
Anyhow, this happened 2 days ago, (still haven't rpelaced the bulb) and now when I start up the car, immediately I get a "joy buzzer" sound from the dash area, BEFORE the startup check is done and BEFORE the lamp failure notice appears on the SID display. The buzzer goes away after about 1 second. Also, there is no chime sound when the failure notice appears on the SID.
Is whatever makes the chiming noise broken? Or maybe something else?
