Driving style and tire pressures are the key.

When I got the 2000 lpt 5-speed with 116,000 miles I changed sparkplugs, tires to 40 psi, and all the fluids the SID was showing 38-39 mpg on a 50 mile solely highway leg into work. Obviously I don't live on the highway but about 5 miles off and the same for work and mpg drops. Worst I'll see is 36 mpg in Ohio's winter cold.

I use 60 mph highway cruise as a benchmark before the alignment and used gallons/miles vs SID mpg average. The SID was accurate as when clutching your coasting with lower rpms giving about 1 mpg higher than actual reading for my travels over a tank.

The alignment yielded another 2 mpg. I thought that was it but when I had JZWtuning.com installed I gained another 2.5 mpg. When temperatures are in the 80's 44-45 mpg is not uncommon. Abient temperatures play a big role as we're averaging 72-73 mph in close to 90F heat(no humidity, so no AC) and was seeing 37 mpg.

If you look at the owner's manual they provide recommended tire pressures based on tire, passengers, and speeds. If your driving 120+ mph with 4-5 passengers with 17" -225mm width wheels they want 42F 39R for pressures.
