Replacing the middle muffler - need advice ...

How does one connect it to the rear muffler? I still have the original single piece system and plan to reuse the rear section.

Also, I want to have an opportunity to replace the rear muffler when time comes.

Should I just buy a short piece of larger pipe with two clamps?

Is Starla middle muffler a good choice? Although it seems like a moot point since it appears to be the only choice.

The car is 2000 2.3 lpt wagon with 213k, the plan is to keep it till 300k.
