The receiver will require the antenna input from the Connection unit, a 12V DC power lead (supplied with a cigarette lighter adapter), and an output cable going to the MP3 input on the radio face. There is another method of install where-by an output from the Receiver flows back thru the Connection Unit and into the car's head unit via the antenna input, but I have a hunch that won't work with the GM head unit in the 2008 model. My thoughts are to locate the Connection Unit in the dash behind the car radio, place the receiver in the console beneath the cup holder, splice into the 12V feed to the rear power plug for the Receiver power, route all other wires thru the console, and have the MP3 input exit the console thru the unused Winter Mode plug for ease of insertion in the face of the car radio. This small wire would be the only visible item. The kit includes a remote for operation of the Receiver so I won't need to access the Receiver for listening. Has anyone else ever installed one of these in a later 9-5? Any lurking "gotchas" I should know about? Thanks, posted by 68.42.115... Posts in this Thread:
