Was this an automatic Arc wagon?
+++++++++Most likely. No direct confirmation, but judging by near-absense of MT Arcs of this vintage, I am positive. Again, the AT one's springs are supposedly a tad stiffer to account for the extra weight of the AT box vs MT, but that is minor.
Why did you decide to go new versus a junk yard?
++++++++No Arcs in junk yards in my area, only Vectors (too soft). Plus, sagging is a known problem with OEM springs.
Which alignment specs did you use? Non-Aero specs? Did you measure your ride height?
++++++++I was surprised that the alignment stand software does not differentiate between different specs of 9-5. Basically, after the swap only minor correction was required - more the result of normal wear and struts repositioning.
Anyone know what is different between all these suspension codes anyway? Sedan/wagon/automatic/manual/etc?
++++++++++++++Length (Aero and all others) and stiffness (Vector-Arc-Aero - major difference, sedan-wagon - for rears only, AT vs MT, 3.0 vs 2.3 - minor)
Or are there other factors to consider such as mid-cycle spring improvements?
+++++++++++++Cheap fix is putting in spacers, but then you will retain the Aero's stiffnes and shorter suspension travel.
