Crashing feeling and noises can also come from engine mounts, subframe bushings, lower arm bushings, strut mounts and stabilizer links.
So what I did in several steps:
1.
- all 4 engine/tran mounts (rear one was still OK at 85K though)
2.
- OEM Arc Wagon springs from Eeuro (only 15K so far from swap, but do not see any sagging)
- Koni FSD (did not do the strut mounts as they appeared healthy - BIG mistake, it is the only source of noise now)
3.
- Poly subframe bushes
- Lower arm bushes
- stabilizer links and bushes
- steering tie rod ends
Everything aside from subframe and arm bushes is pretty easy DYI and major $$$ saver on labor. Should all be good for another 80K-100K or so.
Do the alignment once all said and done.
