My understanding is that the fuel pump is no longer accessible through the convenient, well-engineered access hole under the rear seat cushion and the fuel filter is in the gas tank as well ( to be fair, gas stations now universally use an in-line micronic fuel filter to ensure port injectors or more importantly direct injectors are not fouled by debris so eliminating the fuel filter may be justified for 10 year vehicle life cycles). If you haven't already, check if you see or smell any drips or puddles after parking the car in the event there is a small leak somewhere. You might want to back the car away as you conduct a ground level search for sniffable liquids. If you can't see, touch or smell gas anywhere (including the engine compartment), a better shade tree mechanic than myself or the real deal will have to chime in with possible root causes. Seems the check valves are no longer a serviceable item and an exciting tank drop might be in order. Bon chance!
