I did check with the other shop I have used occasionally - and they did indeed use one of those mobile services. I also asked around about a collision shop I had heard good things about - I went with them, as there were some interior trim pieces, and the third stop light that needed to be replaced, as well as a scratch on the back quarter panel that needed to be addressed.
The adjuster initially wanted to go with a new Safelite glass; he also found a used Saab OEM panel that was still in a car locally. I went with that, after double-checking with the collision shop as to making sure the used glass would be a better choice, and that they would make sure the defroster wires were working correctly, etc. If the used glass proves to be NG, the original OEM glass is still available - from Sweden, so would take a while to get, and be very $$$.
Here in NY, the State requires that all insured auto glass repairs be covered 100% (no deductible), but of course, that doesn't include anything else - like the stop light, trim, etc. So I'll be on the hook for that up to the extent of my deductible.
Tomorrow we're supposed to get a foot or more of snow, and driving around in the loaner car - a Chevy Malibu - is probably not going to be much fun as compared with a 9-5 Aero with a set of Hakkas...
