2004 9-5 Arc No Start Posted by cgwiz [Email] (#1128) [Profile/Gallery] (more from cgwiz) on Mon, 20 Mar 2017 09:21:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
After far too long (about 18 months), I finally completed the motor swap in my 2004 9-5 Arc (automatic). Purchased with a blown motor, found an '05 motor with 50K on it. Pulled what remained of the old motor and trans (PO had pulled most of the top end off), swapped tranny to new motor, put back in. Hooked (almost) everything up - there is a vacuum line with a red & white check valve that has nothing attached to the check valve, a connector folded back on itself and wire tied to itself I cannot locate a plug for, and another vacuum line to the intake plumbing that is missing. Anyway, dropped a battery in, turned the key on - dash lights up, radio and power windows work, Information system displays low washer fluid and low coolant. When I turn the key to the start position - nothing. No click, no solenoid actuation, nothing. I will check the Neutral Safety Switch, and the starter wiring, but is there anything else to look for? Appreciate any ideas......
