Yesterday I added the MapTun Strut Brace to my 2007 9-5 with 118,000 miles. The whole job was easy and took less than 30 minutes. The hardest part was using a screwdriver to pry off the hood alarm sensor shroud. It's held down by a rivet, so you basically have to unrivet it. Took about 5 minutes with a giant screwdriver.
I had a pretty rattle free car already beforehand, but there was a noticeable improvement in the 9-5's chassis stiffness after the install. I'm not saying it turned it into a 2018 Mercedes S-Class, but I could tell it improved things 10% to 20%. Steering felt a good bit better and the car is noticeably tighter. Not bad for $180 including direct shipping from Sweden for a 10 year old car.
Some say the strut brace does nothing since the towers are so close to the firewall. I disagree because the original 9-3 had them installed from the factory and it's built off the same Opel Vectra platform. It was a fun, easy project and I'm happy with it.
