I have the tool and purchased it from an eBay seller in England. I did not have any problems with the threaded rod stripping, but you are instructed to use oil on the threads when you use it. The tool only works on the small bushings on arms that are perpendicular to the hub. You have to remove and install the trailing arm busing with a hacksaw and a vise, respectively.
The tool is also handy for removing and installing the front subframe bushings.
